The militants handed over control of Alchevsk metallurgical enterprises.
Alchevsk metallurgical plant (AMK), located on the temporarily uncontrolled territory of Ukraine in Luhansk region with the approval of the “orlovtsev” came under the control of the company Vneshtorgservis the fluent Ukrainian oligarch Sergey Kurchenko.
Note that AMK is a Corporation Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD).
ISD was founded in 1995. Is an integrated holding company owning blocks of shares of enterprises of mining-metallurgical complex. The Corporation consists of Alchevsk iron and steel works, Dneprovsky iron and steel works, steelworks Dunaferr and ISD-Huta Czestochowa.
Controlling stake in ISD belongs to the pool of Russian investors, including one of the founders of the metallurgical company Evraz Alexander Katunin. Even owners of 49.9 % of the shares of ISD are Ukrainian businessmen Serhiy Taruta and Oleg Mkrtchan.
An informed source noted that the enterprise go to company representatives, examine equipment, interview employees of the plant.
“The steelmaker ISD “pressed” for example, Metinvest”, – stated one of the interlocutors of the Agency.
Another source close to the company Vneshtorgservis not directly answered the question about the transition of AMK under her control, but acknowledged that the Agency information is accurate.
In this case, both the source did not specify when it is planned to start the work of AMK.
Director of the legal Department ISD Sergey Tkachenko did not comment on the situation in AMK, citing a lack of visibility because of location at the moment on a business trip.
“We need to clarify the situation, yet can not say anything. But before that, we controlled the company, there were our managers,” – said Tkachenko.
Recall that in early March in ORDA announced the introduction of “provisional administration” in about 50 companies, among which, in particular, enterprises of the Donetsksteel group and Metinvest. “Temporary administrator” of the mining companies was appointed as the company Vneshtorgservis.
The supply of raw materials for metallurgical enterprises located in the self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR”, ended in February 2017 because of the transport blockade from Ukraine. Metinvest March 15, said the loss of control over the activities of their companies in uncontrolled territory.
However, the “temporary administration” on the enterprises of ISD on the tubing was not introduced – nor Alchevsk iron & steel works, Alchevsk neither. Under assumptions of experts, it could be due to the fact that ISD controlled by Russian shareholders.
After the termination of deliveries of iron ore from Ukraine to the “pressed” enterprise – Enakievo metallurgical plant and Donetskstal, iron ore began to come from Russia. In particular, according to the state-owned enterprise, in April-June from Russia were delivered to a total of about 430 thousand tons of iron ore concentrate and pellets an unknown manufacturer.
In March, the media reported that the Russian government recommended that Severstal and metalloinvest to consider the possibility of supply of iron ore at the enterprises of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, as well as both companies have denied this information. According to sources, the formal delivery of iron ore are from rosrezerva, but really – with mining enterprises of Severstal.
