The scientists filmed the badger, who took the trouble to bury the corpse of a cow.
The amazing ritual watched by researchers from the University of Utah.
They decided to experiment and left in the mountains 7 carcasses of calves, in order to further study the behavior of animals-scavengers. Next to the corpses they placed the camera on the video which is expected to see coyotes, vultures and eagles.
However, in later life, scientists have found that one of the skeletons simply disappeared. They watched the video footage and were shocked by what they saw.
It turned out that the body of the cow came across badger, who started making a tunnel under it, with the result that she fell into the pit. After that the badger threw it the earth from above and thus buried the animal.
