Commander of the Armed forces reported about the frequent shelling from mortars, cannons and tanks positions of forces ATO.
The situation in the ATO area worsened, increased the number of attacks from mortars, cannons, tanks. Ukrainian military was allowed to adequately respond to the provocations of the enemy. This was stated by chief of the General staff – chief of the Armed forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko during a meeting with military attaches.
“Since the day before yesterday, we see a growing number of mortar attacks, shelling from the cannons, tanks. In particular, the latter was used by the enemy yesterday on the settlement of avdeevk. Units that perform tasks in the area of ATO, have the right to adequately respond to all the violations that have taken place in the area of operations. Among the responsibilities of commanders to make decisions in response to certain actions of the enemy,” – said Muzhenko.
He stressed that “the fire from our side, several times less than the opponent”.
Muzhenko noted that over the past day in the shelling, including tank, in the area of Avdeevka three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 10 were wounded; also killed one civilian and two wounded.
