Observers special monitoring mission of the OSCE recorded the separatists self-proclaimed DND new chevrons on a military uniform. It is stated in the operational summary of the mission.
“At the checkpoint on the Northern outskirts of Novoazovsk, 40 km to the East of Mariupol, the SMM team saw a man dressed in dark green digital camo. On the shoulder it was the Chevron with the image of a black bat on a blue field, with yellow banding”, – stated in the message.
It is also noted that the man was “armed with a gun (AK-74), which observers saw as new”.
