Tomorrow, April 5, Poltava and Shakhtar have to play the match of 1/4 of final of Cup of Ukraine, but all goes to that meeting again would be postponed.
Poltava and Shakhtar had to play another 30 November last year, however, due to the frozen lawn and the high risk of injury, the referee canceled the match.
Shakhtar demanded for “Poltava” technical defeat, but the football Federation of Ukraine considered the situation of force majeure and appointed a new date of the match.
A few months later, the situation with the pitch at the stadium “locomotive” for the better has not improved. The day before the game’s grass, to put it mildly, does not correspond to carrying out the quarterfinal match of the Ukrainian Cup.
Shakhtar General Director Sergei Palkin insists that “the Locomotive” a match of the Cup of Ukraine can not be carried out. The club hope that the meeting will be moved to the home arena of FC “Vorskla”, but “Poltava” refuse from such a scenario.
“Terrible field in Poltava. We wrote a letter to the club Poltava and asked to move the game to the stadium “Vorskla”, but they refused.
Only if the match delegate and the referee will decide that the field can not play, then again, will the FTC resolve – force majeure or not,” – said President of the Ukrainian Premier League Vladimir geninson in comments to the TV channel “Football 1”.
Note that at the end of November due to bad weather conditions in the quarterfinals of the Cup of Ukraine did not take place the match between “Neftyanik-Ukrneft” and “Dynamo”, but Romney, unlike the Poltava field, ready for the re-exam.
