Natural wonder: lake Чаргоггагоггманчауггагоггчаубунагунгамаугг
Famous its name the lake Чаргоггагоггманчауггагоггчаубунагунгамаугг (Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg) is located in the vicinity of the town of Webster, Massachusetts.
This is one of the longest place names in the world, which is normally not utter even the locals. Therefore, residents of Webster’s long ago abandoned the utterance “sacramental” names and speak simple lake Webster.
There are many legends about the origin of this unusual name, the Americans left a legacy from the Indians.
One of the most common myths says that the word translated as Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg ancient wisdom: “You catch fish on its shore, I fish on the opposite Bank, and nobody fishes in the middle (of the lake)”
