A record number of Russians consider Ukraine enemy
Citizens of Russia consider as the main enemies of the country USA, Ukraine and Germany, and the allies of Belarus, China and Kazakhstan. This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the Levada center.
The number of respondents who consider Ukraine to be the most hostile towards Russia, a country that rose to its high for the time of the research, and 50%.
According to the Russians, the poor relations of the Russian Federation with the USA (69%), Ukraine (50%) and Germany (24%). Also opponents of the Russian respondents named Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia and the UK.
In turn, Belarus closest to Russia, the government admitted 46% of respondents. China called the friendly Russian country 39%. Also among the allies of Russia in the opinion of the citizens entered Kazakhstan (34%) and Syria (15%). At the same time in 2015 in a similar survey called Syria a friendly country only 2% of respondents. In addition, the list close to Russian States entered India, Armenia, Cuba, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
As can be seen from the survey, in 2015 most of all their attitude, the Russians have changed in Turkey. If in 2015, before the incident with the downed Russian plane, an enemy of Russia, it recognized only 1% of respondents, in 2016 – 29%. Now it is considered unfriendly 8%.
In addition, almost evenly split the votes of citizens on the question of whether Russia is in international isolation. 46% of Russians believe that Russia was isolated, 45% – deny it. At the same time, among those who believe in an international isolation of Russia, concerned only 44%.
