The investigation revealed the involvement of 16 people to clashes in the river. This was announced by Deputy Prosecutor of Dnipropetrovsk region Roman Turner, the press service of the GPU.
Among the suspects – three of the organizers, coordinator, two “cashier”, as well as ten active participants of mass riots, the so-called “titushek”.
“Seven suspects, including the organizer, were remanded in custody; one the Deposit defined by the court as an alternative measure in the amount of 128 thousand UAH”, – is told in the message.
At the same time against four of the suspects, which helped result in the establishment of the actual circumstances of the crime and are not directly used violence during the clashes, the indictment with the agreement on recognition of guilt was sent to the court for consideration.
“Currently, the first act is considered a conviction and sentence as the maximum penalty. 8 suspects on the wanted list, obtained permission for their detention and delivery in court for election of a measure of restraint in form of detention,” – said the Agency.
As explained in Prosecutor’s office the law enforcement officials who allowed the abuse of power, not filed reports of suspicion as they, contrary to instructions, were in helmets without markings, and their faces were almost fully closed, making them difficult to identify.
