Ukraine is on the brink of environmental crisis.
Studying the attitude of Ukrainians towards nature in the past, experts call our ancestors “eccentricity”. Ie, those that lived in peace with nature, care for the land, water and wildlife, not causing anyone intentional harm because they recognized the mutual dependence.
The Minister of ecology and natural resources Ostap Semerak said that 90% of water objects of Ukraine are polluted.
Thus, according to the records of the State Agency of water resources, the filling of the rivers is 20% of the maximum.
According to the Minister, the reason for this is the climate change and improper waste handling.
The dredging of rivers and countering pollution in the state budget for the current year put 200 thousand hryvnia.
The same amount is foreseen for 2018.
