The city of Ottawa has cancelled most festive Christmas activities for strong cooling.
The temperature in Canada’s capital on new year’s night is expected to drop to -28 degrees Celsius.
However, some elements of the festive program, as pyrotechnic and laser show will leave.
The organizers until the last moment delayed the decision to cancel, hoping for a warming new year’s eve was to symbolically end the year of celebration of the 150th anniversary of Canada.
However, the music program of the Parliament was canceled.
