In Saratov, a 28-year employee of the regional state archive of Alexey Polynin was abducted from 46 institutions of pre-revolutionary books with a total value of more than a billion rubles for sale on the Internet.
We are talking about books from the collection of metric books of churches of the Saratov province, dated 1821-1885 years. The thief sold books through the site “Avito” two people from 500 from 1000 rubles per copy.
The cost of one book collectors reaches 30 million rubles, and the total value of the stolen collection is 1,234 billion rubles.
About a crime it became known after one of the visitors of the archive was not able to receive your book and appealed to the regional Department of the FSB. All of the stolen editions were able to return to the archive. A criminal case under article “plunder of the subjects having special value” (paragraph 1 of article 164 of the criminal code).
