Law enforcement officers will be patrolling the beaches and fight against poachers.
On Friday in Kiev, presented an updated unit river police.
The ceremony was attended by the head of the National police Sergey Knyazev and Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman reported on the website of national police.
“The river division of police will work, which is very important for residents. In a week starts the summer season. People will go to the island, go to coastal area and need to protect their peace. I think we will cope with the tasks,” – said Knyazev.
According to him, these units will soon appear in Poltava, Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions. In addition, Netpolice received letters from the heads of the Donetsk and Zaporizhia regional administration on creation of units of the same type on rubber boats or hovercraft in areas of the sea of Azov and the Black sea coast.
In addition to the General monitoring of law enforcement and emergency response, law enforcement officers will fight against poachers.
During the presentation the staff of river police, in collaboration with the fighters of the police special purpose unit CORD carried out special operation on detention of the conditional criminals that captured river craft.
To service areas of the Department include 43 miles of the Dnieper river, including part of the Kanev reservoir and within Kiev. The area is bordered by several districts of Kiev and Kiev region. In addition, the division in collaboration with the Directorate of National police in the Kiev region will undertake activities on-site 70 kilometers of the Kiev reservoir and another 150 kilometers Kanevsky. The total area of the territory served is approximately 1.6 thousand sq. km.
Today the staffing of the personnel of the water Department of the police of Kiev is 47 posts in particular – 29 officers and 16 positions of ordinary police officers.
