At least 25 civilians were killed in an attack by militants in the East of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
“A total of 25 people have been killed, beheaded by the group “may-May Mazembe” in the village Kigali and its surroundings”, — said the Agency representative of the Governor of North Kivu province.
The official noted that all the victims were civilians belonging to ethnic Hutu.
The reasons for the attack are not specified.
Group “may-May Masembe” consists of nande. Earlier supporters group was suspected in similar attacks on civilians in the East of the country.
