Summing up the results of the sixth stage of the 100th version of the three-week Cycling race Giro d’italia.
The future stage winner Sylvain, Dille not immediately qualified in the breakaway of the day, but later together with Simone Andreetta reach the front group, which included former winner of the pink jerseys Lucas, Mistlberger, Mads Pedersen and Jesper Stuyven.
The maximum advantage of the break was almost nine minutes. In the final 40 kilometers of the stage began the cut on rough terrain with a series of mountain pieces. The gap was reluctant to give seconds to the main group and managed to stay ahead. For the stage at the finish line, competed Mistlberger,
Stuyven and Dillie – sprint stronger than his fellow passengers were the Swiss, who scored the biggest victory of his career.
Group of pink shirts, led by interim leader Bob Yungelson of “Quick-Step Floors” finished 39 seconds behind the escapees. In the General classification of the sixth stage, significant changes are not made.

Tomorrow the Giro 224-kilometer stage with start in Castrovillari and finish in Alberobello. The participants of the race will overcome the hilly stretch from one mountain of the fourth category and finish, sharpened by sprinters.
