The aim of the project Banksy is “a dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.”
Famous British artist Banksy opens a hotel on the border of Israel and Palestine.
It is located on the outskirts of Bethlehem, which is under the control of the Palestinian national authority and was named Walled off (wall).
The building is located near the Israeli-built wall, which was previously criticised the artist.
The aim of the project Banksy is “a dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.”
For this, in particular, will be held exhibitions of local artists. The opening is scheduled for March 11.
As stated in the description of the “presidential” rooms, “it has the worst view from the window among all the hotels in the world”.
The guests will see the separation barrier constructed by the Israeli military. It is decorated with the figure of Banksy, made prior to the construction of the complex.
The building was erected in 14 months without any ads, so its opening to the press on Friday was amazing, even the Palestinian authority.
The hotel has 10 rooms of different sizes with different decorations. Also on site is built in a colonial style building has a small Museum telling about the wall and showing the work of local artists.
Its location in the Palestinian authority could prevent the influx of visitors from Israel, however, in contrast to much of Bethlehem, the hotel is located in the heart of the city, controlled by the Israeli military.
The staff consists of 45 employees. The administrator Wissam the Salsa is sure that the location of the complex will not only deter customers from different countries, including Israelis, but also will contribute to improving the Palestinian economy.
