GPU and MP Birch block introduction of the fourth generation of mobile communication.
The actions of the Prosecutor General and the people’s Deputy Borislav Birch block the introduction of 4G in Ukraine.
This was stated by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Informatization and communications Oleksandr Danchenko.
According to him, last week Borislav Birch applied to the GPU as considered “non-transparent” method of calculation of the cost of the allocation of frequencies for 4G.
He also noted that at the meeting were invited all participants in the event, however, neither the Birch nor the prosecutors did not come.
“Is something not clear with the request of the Deputy, there is something up with the GPU”, – he said.
In turn, the head of the relevant national Commission Alexander Zhivotovsky reported that preparations for the tender for 4G has been ongoing for two years, during this time, all participants in the process came to an agreed position, and therefore, it is not clear why the GPU start now. He also noted that the frequencies for the new generation connection, the national Commission can manage to distribute even more this year, if the work will not interfere.
