The veteran became the oldest skydiver in the world.
British veteran Bryson Hayes, who participated in the landing of allied troops in Normandy in June 1944, became the oldest skydiver in the world, making the long jump with a parachute for charity.
It is reported that the man is now 101 years and 38 days. He broke the record that belonged to the canadian Arman Gendre, who committed in 2013, a similar jump at the age of 101 years and three days.
B. Hayes jumped on Sunday with a parachute from height more than 5 thousand meters along with three generations of his family in the English southwestern County of Devon.
After landing B. Hayes said that “he feels on top of the world” and is looking forward to the next hops.
All proceeds from the lighting of the jump several television companies will go to the charity the Royal British Legion which supports veterans of the British air force.
