The defense Ministry announced the sad news from the ATO

В Минобороны сообщили печальные новости из АТОThree Ukrainian soldiers were killed.

Three servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed forces died and another was injured from the beginning of the day by artillery fire and assault actions of the militants at the industrial area of Avdiivka (Donetsk region).

It is reported by the speaker of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine Col.

“As a result of today’s fighting in the area of Avdeyevka industrial zone of the antiterrorist operation forces suffered losses: as of this moment have information about three Ukrainian servicemen dead and one wounded. We emphasize: these losses have occurred since the beginning of this day,” he said at a briefing Sunday afternoon in Kiev.

A. Motuzyanik said that around 5.00 Sunday in the area of Avdeyevka industrial militants launched intense artillery preparation and at 7: 00 attempted to oust the Ukrainian military from their positions.

According to him, the assault of the militants was foiled by the successful actions of Ukrainian units. The militants retreated after suffering “significant losses”.

“As of now the situation in Avdiivka the industrial area remains tense: the enemy continues to bombard our positions from all available weapons, however, to the assault action does not go”, – informed the speaker of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine and added that in connection with the intensification of the enemy’s unit of the armed forces across the front lines in the Donbas are in a state of high alert.
