In addition to Ukraine’s strategic regions for Russia the defense Ministry of Russia consider Syria and the Korean Peninsula.
The Minister of defence of Russia Sergey Shoigu said that the strategic important regions for the Russian Federation are Ukraine, Syria and the Korean Peninsula.
He said this in a speech in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Russian media writes.
Shoigu said that these “strategically important Russian regions,” especially much growing “tension”.
According to him, the factor of international instability is the desire of the US to global leadership.
The Russian Minister also said that the White House and Western countries impose on the world the idea of the existence of a military threat from Russia that the “negative impact” on the formation of a “unified” front against “the chief evil of modern times – international terrorism.”
