Within a few months, the Area of Horror held an open vote on the topic of the Best horror films in 2017 and now we sum up its results, although the vote is still open and the results could still change.
Also we are announcing a series of final tops the best and worst films of the year as from individual members of the editorial Board of the Zone Horror and a single common final top “Horror-the Oscars”. Follow the news, you will find many interesting things!
As for this specific vote, then of course it is not all clear and there are nuances, of course. For example, we included only those movies that was officially released in 2017 in theatrical rentals in Russia. Some premieres in this case, by a vote had yet, including it was the long-awaited third part of “Jeepers of Creepers”, and “Saw 8” – both films received a lot of votes “in advance”, although in the end not everyone liked it. Similarly many votes got the most “kapowie” films of the year, and some great pictures that was a special sensation of, left without attention, simply because there are not so many people watched to date.
