Ex-President accused the radicals in the annexation of Crimea by Russia.
Viktor Yanukovych expressed hope that the Crimea will be back under control of Kiev. He said this during a press conference.
“I’d like to see Crimea returned to the Ukraine, but it will depend on the residents of the Crimea”, – he said.
According to the former President, “sneaky power” of Ukraine did not oppose the reunification of the Peninsula with Russia, because he knew that “there they will get tough”.
“Everything that happened in the Crimea – this is the case, who says many irresponsible politicians, how not to treat people and neglect the people’s opinion. The Crimea, which came under the control of the radicals, carrying threats to the Crimean population in this nobody had doubt. The decision of the Crimean people was predictable. We always knew that there were Pro-Russian sentiments”, – said Yanukovych.
