A cult kidnaps the girl in order to sacrifice it in the light of the moon. And the next morning she wakes up covered in blood and surrounded by dead bodies, but intact.
The plot that is necessary, agree. Generally of the sect – the theme of grace, especially when it comes to horror. Only recently recalled the “Jackals”, as the approach is “Heretics” (The Heretics).
Back in March we took a first look at the film, evaluate the atmospheric teaser and poster. Creepy masks, the cultists in robes, incomprehensible rite seems to be nothing new, but effectively. Director Chad Archibald (“Bite”) has assured that the film crew tried to make the film as realistic as possible, focusing on the practical effects and scenery. They scratch built a house, where the action develops, and it still stands somewhere deep in the dark canadian forest. And to create the masks were used including animal bones found there – in more often. Not bad, eh?
We got a new poster of the picture, and with it the full-length trailer, which clarifies some points in the story. The focus will be Gloria, the girl who survived a failed sacrifice. Here only was it a failure? Maybe everything went exactly as planned sectarian?.. Years later, heroine is kidnapped by a man, confident that the right cult for completion of the case. He takes her in a secluded cabin in the wilderness to protect until dawn. However, Gloria’s begin to show symptoms of a strange disease. While family and friends desperately looking for the girl, it’s getting worse. And soon comes a terrible understanding: Gloria does not hurt, it just changes.
The film went on various festivals, and in the fall will get to cinemas. In Russia, it promises to show the company “Kinologistika”. The premiere is scheduled for November 9, 2017.
