Ukrainian cyclist Andrei Grivko was included in the bid of Astana for the upcoming Tour de France.
For 33-year-old Grivko coming three-week marathon on the roads of France will be the tenth in his career. Ukrainians never focused on the General classification and only once finished in the top 50. On the stages of the Tour de France Grivko has not won yet.
Composition of “Astana” in the Tour de France to 2017 is: Fabio Aru, Jakob Fuglsang, Dario Cataldo, Alexey Lutsenko, Dmitry Gruzdev, Michael Valgren, Bakhtiyar Kozhataev, Andrew Seitz, and Andrei grivko.
The “Big loop” the main duty of Grivko will be to work on the team leaders – Italian Aru and Dane Fulsang. In the event of a change team tactics Ukrainian can get approval for departure in the gap for their first personal victory in the most prestigious Cycling race in the world.
The tour de France 2017 starts July 1 in düsseldorf (Germany) and will end on July 23 on the Champs Elysees in Paris. For three weeks the participants of the French stage race will pass 21 stage (3540 kilometers). Rest days – 10 and 17 July.
