Cars traveling from Ukraine to member countries of the European Union, in accordance with the provisions of the Geneva agreement 1958, EC directives and norms of the Association Agreement EU-Ukraine, 2018 are required to have the appropriate pass technical inspection of the vehicle.
This topic was discussed at the meeting of Deputy Minister of infrastructure, Yuriy Lavrenyuk and Plenipotentiary Minister of the Embassy of Lithuania in Ukraine Guidecom Krusharskata, according to the website of the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine.
As specified in the report, the technical inspection will be required for first registration and re-registration of the vehicle.
Currently mandatory technical inspection pass of a vehicle engaged in commercial transportation.
“Our challenge is the gradual introduction of mandatory technical inspection. We already have the relevant normative-legal acts, which will come into force next year. We need to efficiently prepare for this. Involved world’s best practices and experts. We want a technical inspection was carried out by private companies accredited by the National accreditation Agency of Ukraine, have labs, sufficient material and technical base and meet the requirements of the current legislation”, – said Yuri Lavrenyuk, whose words are reported.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the main service centre of the Ministry of internal Affairs and the state enterprise “Gosavtotransniiproekt”.
