According to the NSDC Secretary, Ukraine in the near future will release drones that will be able to monitor the situation over the whole of Russia.
Secretary of the national security Council and defence of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov said that in the future will begin development of a strategic unmanned aerial vehicles can monitor the situation on the whole territory of Russia. He said this at a briefing today.
According to the NSDC Secretary, today the Ukrainian military-industrial complex learned to produce drones on a tactical level. However, he said that the Ukrainian aircraft manufacturing enterprise “Antonov” at the request of the national security Council has developed a more powerful UAV “Turtledove”, which refers to the tactical level.
Turchinov noted that this device is able to operate at an altitude of five thousand meters, it can fly on distance over thousand kilometres. Thus it can be used for different purposes: reconnaissance, fire adjustment and fire missiles “ground-air”.
“As soon as we work out operational and operational-tactical level, the next step will be unmanned aerial vehicles strategic level. We need to understand not only what is happening in the suburbs, and in the far East, Kamchatka and other regions of the country-aggressor. We need to be protected from any provocation and to resist the aggressor on the distant approaches” — said Turchinov.
