The Creator of the drum “Reprise,” “Oslo, 31 August” and “Louder than bombs”, the independent Norwegian Director Joachim Trier decided to try himself in the genre of the supernatural.
His new picture is called “Thelma” (Thelma), on behalf of the main character, a girl who “does not realize that has frightening power.” The screenplay, as always, written by Trier in collaboration with the national by by Eskil Vogt. Judging by the synopsis and teaser trailer, the picture is still more focus on the melodramatic music, but not in a hurry to curve of disgust. The accompanying video looks fascinating, dynamic and simply beautiful. And there music is cool, in my opinion.
A young Norwegian student moving to Oslo, where he falls in love with a beautiful classmate. And all is good, but the heroine notices that are happening around increasingly strange supernatural events, and I think that it is their cause.
The leading roles were played by Ellie Jarboe, Okay Kai, Ellen Dorrit Petersen and Henrik Rafaelsen.
Company The Orchard has acquired rights to distribute the film in North America, but release date is not yet known.
