The strategy was approved by 2021.
The world Bank Board of Directors on 20 June approved the Concept of partnership with Ukraine for the years 2017-2021. This is stated in the press service of the Ministry of Finance.
The main purpose of partnerships is to promote sustainable and comprehensive economic recovery in Ukraine.
“The concept is based on systematic assessment of Ukraine’s economy, which was completed at the world Bank in March 2017, and contains medium-term plan to support the world Bank reforms, which will implement the government of Ukraine”, – said in a statement.
The development process was defined and agreed areas of strategic partnership between Ukraine and the world Bank for the years 2017-2021:
– public financial management and public administration reform;
– anti-corruption activities;
– management of the largest fiscal risks and improve public investment management;
– strengthening the financial sector;
– improve infrastructure;
– creating equal partnership in the private sector;
– land reform;
– health care reform;
– privatization;
– effective, efficient and comprehensive services;
– social assistance;
targeted assistance to the conflict-affected communities.
Also the financial support of the world Bank during the entire period of validity of the Concept will depend on:
– Ukraine’s progress in implementing reforms;
– improve the results of the implementation of the portfolio of IBRD projects in Ukraine;
– total lending capacity of the world Bank and the lending standard for Ukraine.
