Tourist Paradise costly for local residents.
Gorgeous white sandy beaches, warm surf, turquoise ocean, exotic fruits and birds, as we tend to imagine the Maldives. Find out what the reverse side of this Paradise on Earth.
Probably each of us dreamed at least once to visit the Maldives. However, not everyone knows what “other side of the coin” is behind all these heavenly beauties. In fact, the indigenous Maldivians aren’t doing so well as in heaven.
Hardly anyone knows that there is a male there was a whole island with an area of 3,5 0,2 km into a dumpster, which is dumped mountains of garbage left by tourists
Here, right among garbage heaps, is home to just over 1,000 people. Also on the island there is a shipbuilding plant, factory for the packing of cement and several other companies.
The worst thing is that part of the debris washes out of the ocean, and this has a particularly negative impact on the environment and marine life. Even around the island the water is littered with tons of garbage. Not less sad is the fact that many local people are very poor, on the Cote d’azur can be found whole areas of slums.
