Ford has made “the most off-road” Expedition.
Ford has introduced for the 2018 model Expedition model year off-road package called the FX4, which was already used for the previous-generation vehicle and F-150 pickup truck. Manufacturer’s representatives say that the car with this set prepared for driving off-road better than any other Expedition in the history of the model.
In equipment of the product was composed of seven steel panels that protect the underside of the vehicle, steering rack, engine, gearbox, razdatki and fuel tank.
Also, there are special protection of intercoolers from sand, an electronically limited-slip differential on the rear axle, retuned for off-road shock absorbers, 18-inch wheels of aluminum alloy and more “toothy” tires.
To distinguish “the off-road” Expedition is also possible for the FX4 badging on the front fenders and the trunk lid.
SUV with a set of FX4 is only available with the 3.5-liter “six” EcoBoost power of the force 375 and 10-speed automatic transmission. An expensive set of Platinum returns the same motor will increase power to 400.
