The rhetoric of recent statements by leaders of separatistov are contrary to the purposes of the Minsk agreements, I think in Europe.
In the European Union expect “unequivocal estrangement” of Russia from the statements of separatists on the establishment of “the Ukraine”. This is stated in the statement of the representative of the EU, issued in Brussels yesterday.
The statement indicated that “the provocative rhetoric contradicts the Minsk agreements.”
“The EU expects that Russia will increase their efforts in order to put an end to this conflict”, – stated in the text.
The EU believes that “the last sad development is part of an alarming trend that includes “administrative measures” such as expropriation of companies, the statements about the “state border” or the introduction of other currencies, besides Ukrainian hryvnia, in Donetsk or Lugansk.”
“In parallel, the EU continues to support an inclusive approach on the part of Ukraine against the Ukrainian citizens residing in areas that currently are not under the control of the government. The European Union fully supports the ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at full implementation of the Minsk agreements as the basis for a stable political solution to the conflict in the East of Ukraine, respects the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, – emphasized in the EU.
