People who have contracted the coronavirus, can cease to perceive and distinguish odors. To such conclusion scientists of the British Association of otorhinolaryngology, reports TASS.
According to the researchers, their words confirm the cases that have been recorded in South Korea, China and Italy. In these countries, some patients who have caught the infection really complained about the reduction or loss of smell. For example, in Germany such symptoms was two of the three cases, in South Korea smell was lost almost 30% of patients with mild forms of the disease.
British scientists believe that on average this symptom occurs in 10-15% of cases in all coronavirus infections.
