The Kirov district court of Astrakhan February 6 acknowledged local resident Ulugbek Gafurov guilty of failure to report a crime (article 205.6 of the criminal code) and sentenced to a fine of 70 thousand rubles.
Gafurov knew that his friend was trained in militant camps and later fought on the side of the terrorists, but not reported it to law enforcement authorities, said the representative of the regional Prosecutor Julia Svetina.
According to the Prosecutor of the region, this is the first sentence in the Russian Federation made the article on non-information.
Friend, which Gafurov not reported to law enforcement authorities, — a citizen of Kyrgyzstan Ravshan Akbarov — at the end of 2016, was sentenced to 8 years in prison for participating in an illegal armed formation.
