Polish authorities have banned the entry of some Ukrainian officials.
The Polish authorities banned entry to the country the head of the Ukrainian Institute of national remembrance Vladimir Viatrovych.
A complete list of Ukrainian officials that the Ministry of foreign Affairs denied entry to Poland, were not disclosed. Everyone who falls into it, should know about this already on the border.
“For several years are persona non grata in Russia. Now, they say, got the entry ban to Poland. I’m not concerned with limiting their own movement and that democratic Poland has begun to sound in unison with the authoritarian Russia,” wrote viatrovych in his Facebook.
Viatrovych confirmed that he had not received official communication about the ban on entry to Poland.
“Obviously, Poland will copy the actions of Russia when the ban on entry I found out at the border. Anyway, soon I’m not going to Poland. In this situation, most worried about is the synchronicity of the actions of Russia and Poland” – said the head of the Institute.
Earlier, Polish foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski has announced the introduction of the ban on the entry of some Ukrainian officials, who allegedly showed anti-Polish views.
The President of Poland Andrzej Duda said that his Ukrainian counterpart Petr Poroshenko should not hold important positions people who have “openly anti-Polish views.”
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine declared that don’t intend to politicize the history of Ukrainian-Polish relations, and in the Ukrainian government there are no politicians with anti-Polish views.
Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko initiated an emergency meeting of the Advisory Committee of the presidents of Ukraine and Poland.
