Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko in brilliant style has issued a ticket to the semifinals of the grass tournament in the Netherlands.
For his second semi-final in the season Tsurenko competed with the 12-th racket of the world Kristina Mladenovic, who at the recent Roland Garros for the first time made it to the quarterfinals. Ukrainka in March beat Mladenovic in the final of the tournament in Acapulco, and was leading 3:1 in personal meetings.
Tsurenko began the match with a break on his serve Les before the eighth game was not allowed Mladenovic to win more than one goal. With the score 4:3 Tsurenko made a double break-point, but due to good innings out of a difficult situation than a very upset opponent, who in the next game made several mistakes and allowed Tsurenko to close the set at the reception.
In the second game, the intrigue finally disappeared from the court Tsurenko won five games in a row and were close to “zero”, but Mladenovic has not made a complete disgrace and took the game prestige.
For the final of the tournament in Hertogenbosch, Lesya Tsurenko will face the winner of the evening match between Anette Kontaveit (Estonia) and Karin Witthoeft (Germany).
