This movie was worth writing for a long time, not least because of the interesting history with Directors.
Horror “Dragons” (Jackals) in 2013 was going to shoot Darren Lynn Bousman. Then the picture had the working title Sacrilege, the movie had some promo art and even a promotional trailer, with which the project was presented at the Cannes film market to potential investors-distributors. However, it didn’t happen.
In the end, this film was made by Kevin Greutert. Interestingly, both of Bosman, and Grocert – started his career as Director of the sequels of “Saw”: Darren Lynn took second, third and fourth part, and Grotech worked on sixth and seventh. Bosman then again there were a few notable releases (“the Genetic Opera”, “mother’s Day”), and Grocert removed”, Jezebel” and “Vision.”
Once it was a film of Bosmana.
Premiere expected in 2016, but “Jackals”, having been at several genre festivals, will find its audience only in autumn 2017 on September 1, the movie will appear in limited release in the US and VOD services.
The script of “the Jackals” wrote Jared rivet, and the main role in the film played by Stephen Dorff (“blade,” “Leather Face”), Jonathon Shek (“poison ivy 2”, “Culling”) and Deborah Kara Unger (“White noise”, “Game”, “silent hill”).
A strange family, cut off from the outside world, is hiring a technician to recover her son, kidnapped by henchmen of a sinister cult. The situation is complicated after the rescue operation will end with success: the family will be in the siege, the zealots will demand the child back.
