The film Paul Verhoeven’s 1997 release of “Star landing” (Starship Troopers) was not celebrated much success at the box office, but gained an army of fans. Adaptation of the novel by Robert Heinlein really made for (unlike the sequels): a fantasy with spaceships and all sorts of cool bells and whistles, and creepy aliens, Arachnida, and bloody action game with a rating of R, and satire, and much more. Even now the film looks quite good, although it still will not save him from the remake – what to do in such times we live in.
