In 2012 we have included the famous Paris catacombs in our top 10 most frightening places on the planet Earth. That’s what we did about this awful place, wrote:
Only pictures located here underground crypt evoke awe. But in this case we are talking not only about this awful sanctuary, but also the extensive network of tunnels that lie beneath the streets of the French capital. These tunnels – what is left from mines and sewers of old Paris. Officially down here is strictly prohibited…
In 2014, John Eric dudl filmed a mocumentary-horror film “Paris: city of the dead” (As Above, So Below), the protagonists of which also wandered in this terrible place.
And here is the story similar to that told in this film has happened in reality! Two teenagers, 16 and 17 years old, went down into the catacombs and get lost there, in the labyrinth of cold dark tunnels hidden beneath the streets of the French capital, surrounded by skulls and bones.
Fortunately, the teenagers were rescued. They were found Wednesday, June 14, in the morning, with the help of sniffer dogs. Then the boys were sent to a local hospital, as both suffered from hypothermia and dehydration.
