FC Olimpik Donetsk in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the Europa League drew with the Greek PAOK.
Bookmakers skeptically considered the chances of Olympique de Marseille in the home match with the experienced Greeks. The team of Roman Sanjar managed to confound the skeptics – the fourth Premier League club looked very well and could count on the unexpected victory.
In the first half for two teams had just one shot on target – Olimpik tried to positional attacks to undermine the defense of the guests, but PAOK scored a killer time field corner when Crespo from several meters sent the ball over the crossbar.
The second half Marseille almost started with a goal conceded – Prijovic after transmission of the Mac remained head to send the ball into the empty net, but the forward of PAOK did not reach the ball.
Literally in reciprocal attack “Olympic” scored his first goal in European competitions – Bogdanov filed with a penalty kick, and bilen’kii played ahead and made his name in club history.
PAOK lost control over the game than Olympique might have to use it. Alas, none of the many blows of the masters again in goal did not come.
In the 59th minute PAOK from their only shot on goal evened the score base area of Olympique de Marseille slept spurt Pedro Enrique, who swung a feint of the defender and from an acute angle sent the ball into the net.
The end of the match actively held PAOK, but it is a curious coincidence tried every attack to a shot on goal. The draw preserved for the Greeks the status of the favorites in the two-legged tie.
