Discovered the historical treasure ship of the Third Reich.
Russian divers have discovered cargo ship “Kharkov” (Boy Federsen), which sank off the coast of the Crimea in 1943.
It is reported by the head of the expedition a novel Dunaev.
The ship was in the area between Sevastopol and Cape Tarkhankut. Presumably it was on this ship, German soldiers took valuables from the occupied Peninsula.
As the newspaper notes, the ship was built in 1914 in Germany, and in 1931 was purchased by the Soviet Union and received the name “Kharkiv”. During the German offensive of sailors has damaged the ship, but the Germans restored it and renamed as “Boy Federsen”.
In August 1943, the ship had made the transition in the Black sea and was sunk by Soviet aircraft near Yevpatoria, down to a depth of about 90 meters.
