In the main match of the day “Washington” confidently understood with “Pittsburgh” and got up in the top 3 of the Metropolitan division. The key moment of the match happened two minutes before the end of the second period when T. J. o’shea scored the seventh goal of the season and led the “capitals” forward. In the final period, the hosts without problems put the squeeze on reigning champion of the NHL.
“Toronto” in an intense match I beat “Boston” and extended their winning streak to three matches. A minute before the end of normal playing time, James van Riemsdyk equalized, and at 67 seconds into the overtime, Patrick Marlowe brought the “maple leafs” the 11th win of the season.
“Vegas” after it failed to cut back on a winning path. In the home match of rookie, NHL easily passed “Winnipeg”, and strengthened its position in the top 3 of the Western conference. The first star of the match was recognized as the scorer of a brace William Karlsson.
Dallas on home ice defeated the islanders. Most active in the “Stars” was the defender John Kleinberg, who scored the fourth goal of the season and made two assists.
