Investigations of the Odessa city Council was held in investigation of two cases.
Searches in the Odessa city Council and the mayor Gennady Trukhanov were held in connection with the investigation of two criminal proceedings on corruption. About it reports a press-service of the National anti-corruption Bureau on Monday, October 23.
“In a single proceeding investigated the possible misappropriation of funds of the local budget by overstating the value of works on reconstruction of roads and subsequent transfer illegally obtained income to the accounts controlled by offshore companies. Searches are conducted in the place of residence of the suspects and the location of items and documents relevant to the case.
Investigators also checked the version of possible involvement of the mayor of the city of Odessa in criminal acts, so the search was conducted in his office and home.
