The Bureau analyze the new information on the cooperation of the American political strategist with Ukrainian politicians.
National anti-corruption Bureau checks information about the alleged involvement of American political strategist Paul Manafort in the election campaign of the candidate in presidents of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in 2014. This was at the briefing on Friday, 10 August, the Director of the NABOO Sytnyk.
He recalled that when the materials of the so-called “barn books” of the Party of regions, there appeared the name of Manafort what NABU said at the time.
“The result for me personally was the two cases of recognition of my actions illegal and a criminal case of interference in the election of the President of the United States, although priority for us then was serving officials, untried anti-corruption Bureau”, – he said.
While Sitnic said that the claims have not yet been considered, and relative to the movement of the case about its interference in election he did not know.
According to the Director of NABU, the actions of Manafort not formally accused of the Bureau, but “the information that is now published was not previously known.” “This latest information, therefore we analyze it… if there are grounds will take action,” he said.
Sitnic said that the investigation “barn books” deals with the General office.
