Chaus is in custody and refuses to testify.
Moldova started the procedure of extradition judges of the Dnieper district court of Kyiv Nikolay Chaus in Ukraine.
This was announced by the head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s office Viorel Morari.
“Extradition proceedings are begun”, – he said.

Morar also said that Chaus continues to be in custody and refuses to testify. The Prosecutor said that if the deadline of the arrest of the Leadership or it will not continue, the judge can detain and arrest at the request of Ukraine as the suspect of bribery.
Earlier, the court in Moldova, extended the arrest of Chaus until March 25.
Recall runaway judge Chaus February 28, detained in Moldova on request of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. He is suspected of receiving in August 2016, the $150 million bribe for a suspended sentence for 74-year-old pensioner, which traded diphenhydramine and other drugs. The money the judge put in glass jars, one of which had buried.
Chaus was not detained because of his judicial immunity and had to flee to the Crimea occupied by Russia. On 6 September he removed the immunity. September 12, NABU declared it in the national search, and on November 14 Chaus started looking for Interpol.
In January, the Solomensky district court of Kiev in absentia arrested Chaus and set the bail at 3.7 million hryvnia.
