American collaborated with the Russian President via businessman Oleg Deripaska, says the Associated Press.
According to the Agency, in 2005, Manafort wrote a strategy which, according to him, “can bring huge benefits to the government of Putin.” He cooperated with Putin, not directly, but through a businessman Oleg Deripaska, is close to the Russian President.
The Agency says that the contract of Manafort with Deripaska started in 2006 and lasted at least until 2009. Under this contract, Manafort annually received $ 10 million.
In comments to the Associated Press Manafort confirmed that he worked for Deripaska, but has called the interpretation of the work is unacceptable.
