The French leader is in favour of creating a more powerful European Parliament in the Eurozone.
The President of France Emmanuel macron suggested to reform the European Union and said that in 2018 the Europeans will be able to discuss upcoming changes.
Their vision of democracy and the future of the EU macron stated during a visit to Athens. He, in particular, proposed the creation of a Eurozone Parliament and elect him by a single European list.
“I offer a road map for the future of Europe. I propose a new method when they would not discuss a new Europe only behind closed doors. We need to set new goals in 2018 in all countries, and people will discuss what kind of Europe they want. Within six months there will be meetings of citizens, and in the future will create a joint list for the elections to the European Parliament and in the Euro area,” said macron.
He stressed that it is necessary to stop the civil war in Europe and to find what unites people for centuries, and European civilization.
The French President believes that the Greek crisis is a failure of all Europe.
“We need to find the strength to restart Europe. People need Europe, we need to find the strength to resume Europe,” said macron.
He pointed out that the new Europe will be to fight terrorism and to support the European sovereignty, but it will be necessary to redefine the concept of national sovereignty.
