Bryce Canyon is called a geological wonder, a natural Museum of sculptures under the open sky and a slice of Mars on Earth.
National Park Bryce Canyon is located in the territory of Utah (USA).
This amazing natural site is known throughout the world for its beauty and unique marine Geology. It is a giant amphitheatre is diverse in its structure rocky peaks.
Wildlife of the canyon can be classified into three climatic zones. At the bottom of the grow dwarf junipers, and forests, along streams are the trees – aspen, poplar, willow. In the middle part is dominated by pine forests. And at the top are spruce. The canyon is home to bobcats, Cougars, black bears, moose, deer and many birds.
The climate of Bryce Canyon is very different from the usual for this hot desert climate. * Due to the fact that the Park is located at an altitude of 2700 meters above sea level, in summer the temperature rises to +37°C, and winter temperatures drop to -33°C.
Rock hoodoos, painted in different colors (from rich ochre to light yellow) form the amazing landscape of labyrinths. The walls of the amphitheatre resemble giant colonnade.
Plateau Peagant originated about 10 million years ago when layers of rocks moved upwards, forming an elevated plain with rocky ledges. Caught in the cracks of the rocks, the water forms ice in the winter. These sharp pieces of ice crumble of rock, cutting, thus, various stone columns, arches, bridges, and spires, which are called hoodoos.
Park Bryce Canyon stretches for several dozen kilometers. The largest of amphitheatres with a depth of 250 m is about 19 km long and 5 km wide. The height of the edges on the border of the canyon varies from 2400 to 2700 meters. This is a huge horseshoe of rocks, formed in the Eastern part of the plateau Peagant.
