“It’s an incredible feeling. Knowing that this is probably the last works that he wrote, you almost feel the presence of the master,” — said the chief restorer of the Vatican, responsible for the project, Fabio Piacentini.
The works depict two female figures that represent Justice and Friendship. They are preserved on the walls of one of the rooms of the Museums, which recently began cleaning.
The restoration of the images of Raphael, as well as other elements of the artwork in the room is scheduled to be completed by 2022. Room recovery will allocate € 2.7 million.
