In Somalia, for the first time since 1993 during the fighting has killed an American soldier, two more wounded during the mission the National army of Somalia, announced the command of the armed forces of the United States.
The dead American was serving in the special operations forces of the U.S. Navy.
The incident occurred on Thursday, may 4, during operations against the local branch of al-Qaeda, al-Shabaab 40 miles West of Mogadishu in the district Shebelle. The troops came under fire from small arms.
This is the first loss of us forces in Somalia in 1993, when in Mogadishu shot down two Black Hawk helicopters and killed 18 American soldiers.
Recall that in Somalia strengthened security measures in connection with frequent attacks of the terrorist group al-Shabaab. In April, the terrorists blew up a car bomb near Mogadishu airport, and then between the militants and security forces gunfire.
