Environmentalists viewed the “point of no return” Greenland glaciers
The Greenland coastal glaciers and ice caps have passed their point of no return, to this opinion came experts conducted a new study of these glaciers, the most interesting is that all through the time when it happened, and according to the latest turning point occurred in 1997.

However, ice has not “doomed” in the same way. The bulk of the ice is climatically more isolated than the surrounding glaciers and ice caps. Furthermore, since this threshold was reached in the late 90s, to the current level of warming, it indicates that these peripheral glaciers are very sensitive”.
Research shows that up to 1997, though the glaciers melted, but the water from them passed through the filters in the old snow and back to freezing glacier there, but since 1997 has not become such “trails” and the water began to go down into the ocean.
Now, scientists will have to seriously consider protecting the main glacier as it is melting, albeit in a very distant future, may raise global sea level by several meters, which is disastrous.
