New Lexus sedan LS+ was presented at the Tokyo motor show.
The Lexus LS is the flagship sedan prototype of the next generation. It was built on the basis of the Lexus LS 5 generation presented in the beginning of this year.
One of the highlights of the Lexus LS+ is a new grille with active aerodynamics: it can open/close the built-in valve distributing the air flow, thereby efficiently cooling the motor. Also the car received a “sharp” headlights and cameras instead of exterior mirrors.
But the main technical feature of the Lexus LS+ is an Autonomous Highway driving Teammate. With its help, the car can be reconstructed into the adjacent lane to overtake, and also to adhere to a certain distance before moving in front of the vehicle.
The company believes that the production car will begin to supply such a function in 2020.
